Rebar for Northern Europe delivery was at €640-650 ($684-694) per tonne on Wednesday, down €10 per tonne from last week's €650-660 per tonne.
Slow demand and persistent pessimism led to minimal activity in the region's rebar market.
The weekly price assessment for steel wire rod (wire mesh grade) for delivery in Northern Europe stood at €630-640 per tonne on Wednesday, down €10 from €640-650 per tonne last week.
Sources said that customers prefer to book in advance in anticipation of lower prices in the future. Mills, on the other hand, resisted to offer lower prices due to their already low margins.
