Doğan Holding sold its Çelik Halat shares

Artaş Group acquired Çelik Halat Tel Sanayi A.Ş., owned by Doğan Holding.

Doğan Holding sold its Çelik Halat shares

One of the 60-year-old companies owned by Doğan Holding, Çelik Halat Tel Sanayi A.Ş. was purchased by the Artas Group, owned by Süleyman Çetinsaya.

After the Milpa land, the housing company Artaş also bought 70 percent of Çelik Halat Tel Sanayi from Doğan Holding. The sale took place for 27 Million Euros. 30% of the company is traded on the stock market. The sale between the officials of the two groups was reported to the Public Disclosure Platform.

Begüm Doğan Faralyalı, Doğan Holding Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated that Çelik Halat, Turkey's leading wire rope and wire producer, has been a part of Doğan Holding since 1997 and the most valuable of the group:

“As a result of our focus on the investment holding perspective and our decision to transform our portfolio structure, we evaluated this offer to Çelik Halat positively and sold our shares to Artaş İnşaat and Betatrans Logistics companies. Çelik Halat, whose 30% shares have been traded in Borsa Istanbul since 1986, and which has the title of Turkey's first rope R&D center since 2018, is today's added value added product used in many sectors and fields from automotive to white goods, from mining to forestry, from agriculture to construction. is a very strong company that exports its valuable products to more than 50 countries and has a say in international markets. I have no doubt that Çelik Halat, whose 60th anniversary we are celebrating this year, will continue its way strongly with its new shareholders and management. Best wishes.”wire
