Ecolant company started the construction of Russia's first large full-time electric steel production complex using modern environmentally friendly technologies in the city of Vyksa in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The construction site began to construct the building of the production complex, where the main technological line of the future green metallurgical plant will be located. Within the scope of the project, about 100 facilities will be built on eight technological lines: steel production and direct reduction iron production, air separation plant, water treatment for recycled water supply, lime roasting workshop, by-product processing, railway and automotive, including many areas. .
Equipment from Russian and foreign manufacturers will be used in the Ecolant complex. Auxiliary equipment Ural Heavy Machinery Plant, Troitsk Crane Plant, Tekvin, Aquateco, etc. will be provided by The main technological equipment is designed, manufactured and assembled by Danieli (Italy) and Primetals (Austria). The project of the complex includes the shortest, energy efficient and environmentally friendly production chain for the production of high quality steel in domestic ferrous metallurgy, which corresponds to the carbon agenda. Ecolanta technologies will be exempt from emissions associated with the production of coke, agglomerate and cast iron. Deliveries of main and auxiliary equipment are scheduled for 2022-2023. The facility will be put into service in 2025.
