Commodity blow to industrial profitability in China

Profits of industrial companies in China were adversely affected by the developments in the commodity market. In November, profits increased at 9 percent year-on-year, quite slowly compared to the previous month.

The recent price increases in the commodity market have had a negative impact on the profits of industrial companies in China, which is known as the workshop of the world.

The increase in industrial profits in the country for November was 9 percent. In October, industrial profits in the country increased by 24.6 percent.

The figure recorded in November marked the slowest increase since May.

Considering the 11 months of 2021, it was observed that the increase was 38 percent compared to the previous year. In the same period, the profits of miners increased by 186 percent, while the increase in the manufacturing industry was recorded as 34.5 percent.

Looking at the profits of automobile manufacturers, it was seen that the increase was limited to 3.4 percent.
