Colombia increased exports of ferrous metals

Colombia exported 21,657 tons of iron and steel in August 2023, an increase of 12% compared to the same month in 2022. The value of August exports was at $81.3 million, down 16.4% on an annual basis.

Over the eight months since the beginning of this year, Colombian exports of iron and steel amounted to 151,006 tons, with unchanged figures compared to the same period last year. The value of these exports fell 23.4% on an annual basis to $611.6 million.
