China steel production is at its lowest level in three years!

According to the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China, the steel production volume in China in September 2021 amounted to 73.75 million tons, which is 11.4% less than in August and 21.2% less than in September 2020. This is the lowest result since January 2019, according to consulting firm Mysteel.

Average daily steel production in September fell 8.5% month-on-month to just below 2.46 million tons, and in September 2020 and mini-factories - about 60% from 80% a year ago.

For nine months, Chinese metallurgists melted 805.9 million tons of steel. This is still 2% higher than in the same period last year, but at the end of January-October, a decrease in production is possible compared to last year's schedule. Iron and steel smelting restrictions continue in the country.

In 2020, China produced 1.065 million tons of steel. In the middle of this year, the PRC government demanded that production in 2021 should not exceed last year. It is clear that this goal will be achieved.
