Chinese domestic rebar prices remained stable on Thursday, September 23, after rising the day before as demand among stockists fell during the day.

It is flat at 5,800-5,840 yuan ($897-903) per ton in Shanghai.
Stockists avoided restocking throughout the day amid losses in the futures market.
They do not expect prices to rise much in the near term.
Some of the industry stakeholders stated that it would be difficult for the prices to decrease.
