China's steel plate exports rise in April

China's steel plate exports reached 5.27 million tons in April, up 57.2% y-o-y, according to data from China's customs. Besides steel plate, exports of steel bars and wire rods were about 910,000 tons and 220,000 tons, increasing by 75.9% and 32.2% y-o-y, respectively.

In the first four months, China exported 18.08 million tons of steel plates, increasing by 50.7% y-o-y. During the same period, steel bar and wire rod exports totaled 3.54 million tons and 780,000 tons, increasing by 97.1% and 26.5%.
