According to the research conducted by the SteelRadar reporter from China's national statistical units, the latest situation in EU quotas has been observed. There is a variability in quotas depending on product groups.. While some groups are full, slow progress is observed in some products.
Quotas are full in seamed-seamless pipe and light profile groups.
The merchant bar and the light profile (alloy-non-alloy) 132.123/t are already full. While all of the 36.142/t in the seamless pipe was filled up, the quota of 7.601 /t, which was much lower in the seamless pipe, was filled up in the first days.
Cold-drawn pipe and unalloyed steel wire are moving slowly.
The quota transferred from the last quarter of 2022 did not close the year completely in both product groups. In the first quarter of 2023, the announced quota amounts were 143,928/t with 69,584/t transfers for Unalloyed Steel Wire. The amount filled so far has been recorded as 23,278/t. In Cold-Drawn bar (alloy-unalloyed), the quota was 10.135/t, which was more than a quarter of the 44.898/t quota.

Other products were as follows;
The total quota for 4B Metallic Coated Sheets was 131.248/t and the remaining quota was 78.097/t. 53,151/t of the quota was used.
While the stainless HR Quarto Plate 7.304/t was announced, only 283/t of it was used. The remaining 7,021/t quota is available.
The remaining 928/t was from the quota of 1,519/t announced for wire rod. 591/t was used.
The quota of 6.590/t announced for steet piling has been completely filled.
The quota of 1.417/t in Railway Materials was recorded as 864/t, which was used when the quota was announced.
