China's HRC exports double in seven months

China's hot rolled coil (HRC) exports in July 2024 increased by 1.8% year-on-year to 1,343,206 tonnes from 1,319,481 tonnes in the same month of the previous year, SteelRadar reported, organised by the International Trade Centre (ITC).

In the January-July 2024 period, total HRC exports increased by 59.2% compared to the same period of the previous year, with an increase from 9,001,788 tons to 14,334,472 tons.

In the January-July period, Vietnam was the major HRC export destination of China with 4,362,514 tons, followed by the UAE with 1,144,896 tons and Turkey with 1,042,064 tons. Compared to the same months of last year, China's total HRC exports in January-July this year increased by 59.2% from 9,001,788 tons to 14,334,472 tons.

The countries to which China exported HRC in the January-July period are as follows;
