Central budget balance posted a deficit of 47.2 billion TL in March

In February, when the earthquake disaster took place, the budget increased to 170.6 billion TL with the contribution of additional revenues from taxes. However, as of March, the central government budget balance posted a deficit of 47.2 billion TL.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced the budget implementation results for March.

Accordingly, the Central Government budget balance posted a deficit of 47.2 billion TL in March. The budget had a deficit of 69 billion TL in March 2022.

Budget expenditures amounted to 334 billion TL with an annual increase of 48.5 percent, budget revenues amounted to 286.8 billion TL and a budget deficit of 47.2 billion TL with an annual increase of 83.9 percent.

Personnel expenses increased by 111.1 percent to 86.7 billion TL, and current transfers increased by 45.4 percent to 124.7 billion TL.

Non-interest budget expenditures were 289 billion TL and primary deficit was 2.1 billion TL.

The 3-month deficit was 250 billion TL. No transfers were made from the budget in March for currency-protected deposits.
