Business Summit organized by China and Bangladesh starts today

The 2-day event at Radisson Blu Dhaka is co-hosted by the Bangladesh Iron and Steel Importers Association (BISIA) and China Alliance Exporters and Importers.

The summit will be attended by a large number of local and international businessmen, entrepreneurs, and investors, including more than 50 Chinese delegates.

BISIA President Abujar Gefaree Jewel said that this is the first summit on the steel sector in the country and this conference will encourage Chinese entrepreneurs to increase their investments.

Jewel added that most of the steel products are imported from China to meet local demand.

Amir Hossain Noorani, Director of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit China from July 8-11, and holding such a business conference ahead of her visit will strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations between China and Bangladesh.
