According to information obtained from the Automotive Industry Association (OSD), 1 million 410 thousand 934 vehicles, including tractors, were produced in Türkiye in 2024, 904 thousand 513 of which were automobiles.
OYAK Renault, operating in Bursa, produced the highest number of automobiles with 332 thousand 503. OYAK Renault's share in total automobile production was recorded as 36.8 %.
Hyundai Assan, operating in Kocaeli, ranked second by producing 244 thousand 976 cars in 2024.
Toyota in Sakarya ranked third with 225 thousand 337 cars and TOFAŞ ranked fourth with 101 thousand 697 cars.
While the number of cars produced in Bursa in 2024 was 434 thousand 200, 48 of Türkiye's overall automobile production was realized in the city.
60 % of Bursa's production exported
OYAK Renault, which ranks first in automobile production, also ranks first in exports with 241 thousand 398 units.
Last year, Hyundai Assan ranked second in automobile exports with 204 thousand units, Toyota ranked third with 187 thousand 101 units and TOFAŞ ranked fourth with 21 thousand 616 units.
OYAK Renault and TOFAŞ exports from Bursa, which made a significant contribution to Türkiye's automobile exports in 2024 with 263 thousand 14 units, accounted for 40.2 % of Türkiye's total automobile exports.
Of the 434,200 cars produced in Bursa in 2024, 60.57 % were sent abroad.
The number of vehicles unloaded from the line on a daily basis in the city was 1189 and the number of daily exports was 720.
