Brazil's heavy sheet exports increased in December

According to statistics, Brazil's exports of heavy sheets amounted to about 18,000 tons in December last year, an increase of 42.9% compared to the previous month.

These shipments were exported by Usiminas, Gerdau and ArcelorMittal, which supplied about 11,500 tons, 5,100 tons and 1,200 tons, respectively. The largest buyer of these exports was South America with 14,800 tons.

In terms of imports, Brazil's steel sheet imports amounted about 15,000 tons last December, with a monthly increase of 74.7%. Austria was the main supplier, exporting 14,400 tons of steel plates to Brazil during this period.
