Brazil's crude steel production increased in February

In February 2024, Brazil's crude steel production increased by 13.1% y-o-y to 2.78 million tons.

Import and export rates increased

The country's steel exports increased by 26.1% to 700,000 tons, while imports increased by 37.2% to 446,000 tons.

Domestic steel sales and steel consumption increased

The country's domestic steel sales increased by 7.3% to 1.6 million tons, while steel consumption increased by 11.5% to 1.9 million tons.

Rolled steel production increased by 3.8

Brazil's rolled steel production increased by 3.8% to 1.83 million tons, steel plate production by 4.5% to 1.04 million tons and long products production by 2.9% to 788,000 tons.
