Attention in the global markets is the employment data of the USA!

In the global markets, while the eyes are turned to the data in the US employment report, it is noteworthy that the new day started positively on the Asian stock markets and index futures contracts.

Attention in the global markets is the employment data of the USA!

Söz konusu beklentinin gerçekleşmesi ekonominin resesyonda olmadığına dair güçlü kanıtlar sunarken, bu durumun Fed'in faiz artırımları konusunda elini rahatlatacağı değerlendirilmektedir.

Bugün açıklanacak veriler öncesinde ABD'de haftalık işsizlik başvuruları beklentilerin üzerinde 260 bin arttı. Ülkede dış ticaret açığı ise Haziran ayında aylık yüzde 6,2 azalarak 79,6 milyar dolara gerileyerek 6 ayın en düşük seviyesine ulaştı. Son veriler işgücü piyasasının sıcak olmadığını gösterse de, ticaretin üçüncü çeyrekte ekonomik büyümeye katkı sağlayacağının sinyallerini verdi.

Öte yandan ABD Merkez Bankası (Fed) yetkililerinin açıklamaları piyasaların odak noktasında kalırken, Cleveland Fed Başkanı Loretta Mester, enflasyonun düşürülmesine yardımcı olmak için Fed'in faiz oranlarını yüzde 4'ün üzerine yükseltmesi gerektiğini söyledi.

With these developments, a mixed course was observed in the New York stock market yesterday. The Dow Jones index fell 0.26 percent and the S&P 500 index fell 0.08 percent, while the Nasdaq index gained 0.41 percent. The dollar index is flat today after falling 0.6 percent to 105.8 yesterday. The US 10-year bond yield, on the other hand, dropped from 2.74 percent yesterday to 2.69%. Before the critical data to be announced today, US index futures contracts started the new day with an increase.

On the European side  , the Bank of England (BoE) increased the policy rate by 50 basis points to 1.75 percent, in line with expectations. In order to control the rising inflation, the Bank signed the highest interest rate increase at once since 1995, and with the last step, the policy rate rose to the highest level since December 2008. Revising its inflation expectations upwards, the bank predicted that the inflation would peak at 13.2 percent in the last quarter of the year. The bank's expectations regarding the economy, on the other hand, pointed to a long-term recession that started in the last quarter of the year and will last until the middle of 2024. While the sterling lost value against the dollar and euro yesterday with the recession expectations, the yield curves in the UK bond market inverted.

With these developments, yesterday the FTSE 100 index in the UK closed flat, while the DAX 40 index in Germany gained 0.55 percent, the CAC 40 index in France by 0.64 percent and the FTSE MIB 30 index in Italy gained 0.31 percent. After closing at 1.0245 with an increase of 0.8 percent yesterday, the euro/dollar parity is on a horizontal course today. It is seen that index futures contracts in Europe started the new day with buyers.

Following the visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi across Asia the news flow regarding the military exercise launched by the Chinese army around Taiwan remains at the center of the agenda. Taiwan stated that the guided missiles launched by China within the scope of the exercise fell in the regions it considers "territorial waters", while Japan announced that the missiles hit its exclusive economic zones. Asian stock markets started the new day with buyers as the concerns about geopolitical risks were put into the background. The Sensex index was up 0.4 percent after the Reserve Bank of India increased interest rates by 50 basis points above expectations.

In the domestic  market the BIST 100 index gained 1.46 percent yesterday, closing the highest level of all time with 2,723.67 points, and brought the highest level record to 2,733.50 points. Dollar/TL is traded at 17,9450 at the opening of the interbank market today, after closing at 17.9339 with a decrease of 0.04 percent compared to the previous closing level.

Analysts said that investors followed a positive course in global stock markets with company financial results and macroeconomic data that were better than expectations.

Stating that volatility may increase before the US employment report to be announced today, analysts said that technically, the level of 2.750 in the BIST 100 index is in the position of resistance and 2.600 points in the position of support.

Bugün piyasalarda izlenecek veriler şu şekilde:

09.00 Almanya, Haziran sanayi üretimi

15.30 ABD, Temmuz tarım dışı maaş bordroları, işsizlik oranı ve ortalama saatlik kazançlar

17.30 Türkiye, Temmuz ayı Hazine nakit dengesi
