In Istanbul, one of the world’s major trade centers, the Metal Expo took place from September 11-14, 2024. During the event, SteelRadar visited the ‘Iran-Azerbaijan Steel Union,’ which operates in the northwest of Iran. During the visit, a comprehensive assessment of the steel industry was made, and opportunities for collaboration with SteelRadar were discussed.
The Azerbaijan Steel Industry, located in the northwest of Iran, has an annual production capacity of 12 million tons and plays a significant role in the regional economy with over 60 companies. At the fair, a detailed meeting was held with Mr. Navadad, the President of the Azerbaijan Steel Industry, General Secretary Rasoul Iranzad, and other members. The main topics of the meeting included the development of the industry and opportunities for international cooperation.
The Iran-Azerbaijan Steel Association plays an important role as the official representative from Iran at the Istanbul Metal Expo. The collaboration discussions held at the fair are seen as a significant step towards strengthening international trade and increasing sectoral cooperation.
