ArcelorMittal Brazil to renew plant equipment

ArcelorMittal Brazil is considering renovating its steel plant, aiming to increase production efficiency. The Jõao Monlevade steel plant in Brazil operates in the long products sector and produces mainly wire rod.

In addition, the company in question purchased a 135-tonne basic oxygen furnace (BOF) in August 2023. According to officials, the new equipment will shorten production steps and improve steel quality, which is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2025.
