ArcelorMittal and HP announced a strategic collaboration to advance the field of steel additive manufacturing.

Arcelormittal and HP announce strategic collaboration

A collaboration which combines HP's expertise in printing and current manufacturing in additive manufacturing with ArcelorMittal's lead in sustainable steel solutions aims to support additive steel production.Both industry leaders announced that they are combining their strong areas of expertise to lead innovation and deliver high quality, sustainable solutions. Arcelormittal chose HP's Metal Jet S100 technology to enhance steel additive manufacturing.

Aubin Defer, Marketing Manager Powders at ArcelorMittal, stated: "We are thrilled to collaborate with HP in advancing steel additive manufacturing. This collaboration leverages our combined expertise to develop innovative solutions to drive the industry forward. The promising results of our steel powders with HP’s binder jetting technology are a testament to the potential of this partnership."

Collaboration is focused on improving the range of materials, with steels with unique properties which are not possible to achieve with conventional production at a lower cost per piece.
