Pavel Shilyaev, CEO of MMK, and Burkhard Dahmen, CEO of SMS group GMBH (one of the world leaders in the production of metallurgical equipment), signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies in Magnitogorsk. According to the document, MMK and the SMS group will work together to study, develop and apply decarbonization technologies to reduce their carbon footprint. In particular, his work will focus on technologies for the direct reduction of iron and the production of highly efficient hydrogen.
