600 million euro coronavirus support from the EU to Ukraine

Although the normalization process has started in the coronavirus epidemic, the inextricable problems of the countries continue.

600 million euro coronavirus support from the EU to Ukraine

The European Union (EU) can provide macro-financial support to the countries in its immediate vicinity in times of economic crisis.

The EU Commission announced that a new credit tranche has been released to Ukraine within the framework of the macro-financial support program prepared against the economic effects of the coronavirus.

In the statement, it was stated that Ukraine has fulfilled its commitments related to public finance, management, rule of law, improvement of the business environment, sectoral reforms and public participation, and 600 million euros have been provided to Ukraine within the scope of the EU's support program.

In the statement, it was emphasized that the EU gave a total of 4 billion 400 million euros to Ukraine within the scope of various macro financial support programs.

EU financial aid includes more favorable payment terms than the loans that the country in question can normally obtain from the markets.
