2024 ISO 500 list is announced! How did iron and steel companies change in the ranking?

İstanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) announced the results of the ‘Türkiye's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises (ISO 500)’ survey for 2024. Accordingly, many iron and steel giants were among the top 500 companies.

“Türkiye's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises (ISO 500)” announced by the İstanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) According to the 2024 results, the leading companies in the iron and steel industry ranked high on the list. While some companies in the sector rose by increasing their sales from production, others fell in the ranking due to falling sales figures.

The first place in the iron and steel sector was taken by İskenderun Demir Çelik (İSDEMİR), which rose to 8th place with production-based sales of TRY 109.9 billion. İSDEMİR, which ranked 12th last year, made a significant breakthrough both in the sector and in the overall ranking.

Following İSDEMİR, Ereğli Demir Çelik (ERDEMİR) rose from 10th to 9th place with production-based sales of TRY 103.6 billion. Çolakoğlu Metalurji, on the other hand, maintained its 14th place with production-based sales of TRY 88.4 billion.

Tosyalı Demir Çelik A.Ş. rose from 57th to 15th place in the list with sales from production of TRY 85.7 billion. Tosçelik Profil ve Sac Endüstrisi, a company of the same group, rose from 21st to 18th place with sales of TRY 77.5 billion.

However, some large companies fell in the ranking. İçdaş Demir Çelik fell from 18th to 21st place with sales of TRY 72.4 billion and KARDEMİR fell from 26th to 28th place with sales of TRY 47.6 billion.

On the other hand, İzmir Demir Çelik was one of the companies that improved its ranking from 49th to 41st place with TRY 36.5 billion.

Borçelik dropped from 31st to 48th place with TRY 32.3 billion and Yücel Boru ve Profil dropped from 38th to 49th place with TRY 32.2 billion.

Kroman Çelik dropped from 45th to 54th place with TRY 28.7 billion, while Tatmetal Çelik rose from 68th to 55th place with production-based sales of TRY 28.4 billion. Diler Demir Çelik rose from 69th to 60th place with production-based sales of TRY 25.5 billion.
