US steel exports increased in January

In January 2024, US steel exports totaled 699,122 mt, up by 25.4% from December 2023 and 5.7% y-o-y.

Exports to Canada ranked first

Exports to Canada amounted to about 24,454 mt, to Mexico about 336,139 mt, to Brazil about 2,923 mt, to India about 2,617 mt, to Belgium about 2,592 mt, to China about 2,254 mt and to Australia about 1,915 mt.

Export value increased

The value of exports during this period increased to $1.25 billion in January steel exports from the US.
