Zaporizhstal, a subsidiary of Metinvest Group, saw its steel production in February 2026 decline by 3.8% month-on-month and 4.1% year-on-year, falling to 225,600 tonnes.
Pig iron production at the plant increased by 1.2% month-on-month but decreased by 4.7% year-on-year to 253,000 tonnes. Finished steel product output fell by 12% month-on-month, while it rose by 3% year-on-year to 189,800 tonnes.
For the January-February period, steel production decreased by 3.8% year-on-year to 460,000 tonnes, and pig iron production fell by 9.1% to 502,900 tonnes. In the same period, finished steel product output declined by 1.3% year-on-year to 405,500 tonnes.
