Wire rod imports of Türkiye decreased by 33.3% in January-April period

SteelRadar data compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) revealed that Türkiye's April 2024 wire rod imports decreased by 41.1% compared to the same month of the previous year, from 65,125 tons to 38,176 tons. It decreased by 14.4% compared to the previous month.

In January-April period, total wire rod imports decreased by 33.3% from 225,496 tons to 150,375 tons.

The leading importing country for wire rod in April was South Korea with 5,845.1 tons, followed by Russia with 4,987 tons, Kazakhstan with 4,965.5 tons, the UK with 4259.7 tons and Malaysia with 3,085.6 tons.
