Wire rod imports of Türkiye decreased by 30% in January-March period

SteelRadar's data compiled from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) showed that Türkiye's wire rod imports in March 2024 decreased by 50.8% yoy to 44,607 tons from 90,673 tons in the same month of the previous year. It recorded an increase of 32.7% compared to the previous month.

In the January-March period, total wire rod imports decreased by 30% from 160,370 tons to 112,199 tons.

The leading importing country for wire rod in February was Russia with 10,655.2 tons, followed by China with 6,917.1 tons, South Korea with 6,184.3 tons, Iran with 4,024.8 tons and Malaysia with 3,074.7 tons.
