Türkiye's scrap metal imports in November 2025 decreased by 0.3% as yearly but increased by 36.3% as monthly.

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s scrap imports in November decreased by 0.3% as yearly, falling from 1,750,496 tons to 1,745,456 tons.

Compared to the previous month of October, however, scrap imports increased sharply by 36.3%.

In the January–November period, total scrap imports declined by 6.8%, dropping from 18,137,824 tons to 16,913,293 tons.

In November, Türkiye imported the largest volume of scrap from the United States. Scrap imports from the US decreased by 19.44% as yearly, falling from 355,180 tons to 286,142 tons. In the first eleven months of the year, imports from the US declined by 23.15% to 3,248,289 tons.

In the ranking of Türkiye’s top scrap suppliers in November, Belgium came in second, with imports from Belgium increasing by 11.75%. Belgium was followed by the Netherlands with a 1.89% decline, the United Kingdom with a 0.25% decline, and the Russian Federation with a strong 48.89% increase.
