What Happened to Türkiye’s Billet, Wire Rod, and Rebar Prices During the Week of 8–12 December? Will prices increase as 2026 approaches?

Weekly changes in Türkiye’s long products market

Price fluctuations continue in Türkiye’s billet, wire rod, and rebar markets. While CFR Türkiye prices for imported billet vary between regions, offers also differ depending on the country of origin. In addition, Türkiye’s domestic billet prices and sales prices in certain areas show discrepancies. Wire rod and rebar prices also vary regionally, with rebar showing a weekly downward trend.

For imported billet, offers from Malaysia and Ukraine are presented in the range of 485–490 USD, while offers from China and Russia stand at 460–465 USD. Across Türkiye, domestic billet prices are recorded in the 515–525 USD range, with the Marmara region at 520–530 USD. In the İskenderun region, the latest sales were reported at around 529 USD.

In the wire rod market, prices during the second week of December ranged between 570–595 USD depending on the region. The Marmara region was assessed at 590–595 USD, Thrace at 585–590 USD, and İzmir at 570–575 USD, while İskenderun was reported at 585 USD.

In the rebar market, EXW prices, which were initially at 570–600 USD during the week of 8–12 December, declined to 556–595 USD by the end of the week. Regional producer prices were recorded at 590–595 USD in the Marmara region, 557–561 USD in İzmir, and 556–561 USD in İskenderun.

According to SteelRadar data dated 12 December 2025, daily changes in the spot market ranged between 0–400 TRY. Rebar prices were reported as 29,800 TRY in Istanbul (-400), 28,700 TRY in İzmir (0), 29,600 TRY in Karabük (-200), and 28,600 TRY in Payas (-100).
