In November, Vietnam's steel products imports increased by 15.9 percent compared to the previous month, reaching approximately 963,000 tons. In the first eleven months, imports decreased by 6.4 percent year on year to 10.73 million tons.
In November, China was the main source of Vietnam's steel imports with approximately 379,000 tons. Japan (about 181,000 tons) and Taiwan (about 132,000 tons) placed 2nd and 3rd.
Vietnam's scrap imports decreased by 16.9 percent month on month to around 251,000 tons. Among these, imports from the USA had the largest share with 83,000 tons, falling 4.9 percent year on year.
