Vietnam's steel exports increased by 40.2% monthly and reached approximately 823,000 tons last December. Approximately 130,000 tons, 99,000 tons, 89,000 tons, 87,000 and 77,000 tons were exported to India, Cambodia, Indonesia, Italy and Malaysia, respectively.
Vietnam's steel exports in 2022 decreased by 35.9% yearly and amounted to 8.4 million tons. Exports to Cambodia had the largest share with 1.21 million tons with the decline of 2.7% year on year. Exports were made to Malaysia (approximately 751,000 tons), Italy (approximately 752,000 tons), and the USA (approximately 682,000 tons).
