The review was initiated by the Trade Remedies Authority on January 21, 2026, following an application submitted by a Chinese producer.
According to a statement from the ministry, the review is being conducted under Decision No. 150/QD BCT with case code AR01.AD17. The process was formally triggered after a request for the reassessment of the anti dumping measures was accepted.
Pursuant to Article 51, Clause 1 of Government Decree No. 86/2025/ND CP dated April 11, 2025, interested parties may request an annual review within the first four years from the date an anti dumping or countervailing measure takes effect or is extended. After examining the case in line with the relevant regulations, the ministry decided to proceed with the first review.
Vietnam began imposing anti dumping duties on the products in January 2025 to protect its domestic industry from low priced imports. Under the measures, imports from Malaysia, Thailand, and China have been subject to duties ranging from around 9.79 percent to 28 percent.
