In April this year, US steel slab imports were 222,882 tons, a decrease of 47.2% compared to the previous month and 9.2% compared to the same month of the previous year.
Imports from Brazil ranked first
Imports from Brazil amounted to 118,089 tons, Mexico 54,655 tons, Canada 41,096 tons and Japan 8,973 tons.
The value of imports in this period was realized at $167 million.
