According to AISI's statement, in February 2025, American steel mills decreased by 0.9% compared to the same month last year, from 7 million 97 thousand 512 tons to 7 million 35 thousand 936 tons. Compared to the previous month, January's figure of 7 million 435 thousand 458 tons, it decreased by 5.4%.
Total shipments for the first two months of 2025 were 14 million 481 thousand 866 tons, compared to 14 million 471 thousand 991 tons in 2024.
Compared to the previous year, shipments of cold-rolled sheets and strips increased by 3%, while shipments of corrosion-resistant sheets and strips and hot-rolled sheets and strips decreased by 3% and 6%, respectively, in these two months.
