US steel imports decreased in June

In June 2024, US steel imports decreased by 24.5% m-o-m to 2.152 million tons, while imports of finished steel products decreased by 23% m-o-m to 1.717 million tons.

Steel imports increased in the first six months of the year

In the first six months of the year, US steel imports increased by 2.2% to 15.34 million tons. Brazil, Mexico, South Korea and Vietnam were the main suppliers of these imports.
