US refuses to initiate anti-dumping tax review on steel products from Turkey

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) refused to initiate a changing conditions review of the anti-dumping (AD) tax mandate on hot rolled steel flat products from Turkey.

US refuses to initiate anti-dumping tax review on steel products from Turkey

In September 2016, USITC stated that the US industry was financially injured by dumping Turkish hot rolled flat steel products. Turkish producer and exporter Erdemir did not object to the final positive pecuniary damage determination of USITC regarding this case. However, Erdemir requested a review on 10 September 2021, saying that the conditions have changed significantly since the decision taken in 2016.

On December 2, 2021, the USITC invited the public to hear comments on whether to agree to a review of changing conditions and received an application jointly submitted by US companies. Therefore, the US has decided not to initiate the changed conditions review of the anti-dumping order for the goods in question from Turkey, as the review would be a repetition of the full five-year review.
