US imports of HRC increased on a monthly basis

In May 2023, US imports of HRC were about 155,500 tons, an increase of 19% compared to April and a decrease of 23% in May 2022.

Imports from Canada ranked first

Imports from Canada amounted to about 90,100 tons, from Japan to about 15,500 tons and from South Korea to about 13,500 tons.

Import value increased by 22.9% m/m

In this period, the value of imports increased by 22.9% on a monthly basis and decreased by 37.9% on an annual basis to approximately USD 153 million.
