U.S. imports of hot rolled steel bar increased y-o-y but decreased m-o-m

The hot-rolled steel bar imports of the USA were around 57,300 tons in February of this year, showing a decrease of 20% compared to January and an increase of 19% compared to February 2022.

Imports from Canada ranked first

The imports from Canada were approximately 28,700 tons, the imports from Japan were approximately 12,500 tons, the imports from Mexico were approximately 6,600 tons, and the imports from South Korea were approximately 4,300 tons.

The import value decreased on a monthly basis

During this period, the import value was approximately 75 million US dollars, showing a monthly decrease of 16.3% and a yearly increase of 22.4%.
