US imports of drawn wire increase

According to data from the US Department of Commerce, the US imported about 45,638 tonnes of drawn wire in March 2023. Imports increased by 0.7% compared to February, but decreased by 24% compared to March 2022.

The value of drawn wire imports was US$71.8 million in March 2023, up from US$71.7 million in the previous month and down from US$126 million in March 2022.

Notably, the US imported around 18,600 tonnes of drawn wire from Mexico in March 2023. Other top importing countries were Canada, China, Vietnam and South Korea.
