In June this year, US imports of hot-rolled flat steel increased by 45% on a monthly basis and 0.6% on an annual basis to around 225,000 tons.
Canada was the largest source, accounting for 11.3% of total imports, while South Korea and Japan were the other major import sources.
The import value reached $219 million, up by 43.2% m-o-m and 23.4% y-o-y.
