US hot-dip galvanized and cold-rolled coil prices decreased

US hot-dip galvanized and cold-rolled coil prices declined as mills continuously lowered their offers in line with the drop in hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices.

US hot-dip galvanized and cold-rolled coil prices decreased

This week, there has been a decline in prices for hot-dipped galvanized (HDG) and cold-rolled coil (CRC) in the United States. Mills have been consistently lowering their offers in line with the decrease in hot rolled coil (HRC) prices. The price of US HDG has experienced a drop of $49.75 per short ton (st), reaching $1,118.50/st, while the US CRC assessment has fallen by $29.50/st to $1,142/st. These prices are based on an ex-works basis.

In the US HDG market, there has been a wide range of offers available. Various market sources have indicated potential offers as low as $1,040/st and actual sale prices as high as $1,250/st. The competitive range for US HDG prices has been between $1,060/st and $1,160/st.

Similarly, US CRC prices have also exhibited a wide range over the past week. Sources have reported price levels ranging from $1,070/st to $1,234/st, with more consistent levels falling between $1,100/st and $1,200/st.
