US decided on the AD and CVD measures for the tin mill products

On February 6, 2024, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) issued negative determinations regarding the final phase of anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) measures concerning tin mill products from Canada, China, and Germany. The commission determined that the US industry did not suffer significant harm from the mentioned goods originating from these countries.

Previously, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) had put forward that these products were sold in the US at prices below fair market value. Also, USDOC was determined mentioned products were subsidized by the Chinese government.

Furthermore, the USITC decided to terminate the AD investigation into tin mill products from South Korea.

In light of these negative determinations by the USITC, neither AD nor CVD measures will be imposed on Canada, China, and Germany. Additionally, the AD investigation concerning South Korea will be concluded.
