U.S. crude steel production decreased last week, on a weekly and yearly basis. It decreased by 0.4% compared to the previous week and by 1.8% y-o-y to 1,686,000 tons.
In this period, the capacity utilization rate of U.S. steel plants for domestic crude steel production decreased by 0.3% on a weekly basis and by 3.6% y-o-y to 75.1%.
In the period from the beginning of the year to March 25, the country's steel production decreased by 4.5% to 19,878,000 net tons, while the capacity utilization rate decreased by 5.6% compared to the previous year to 74.1%.
