The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade (ICIT) of Ukraine has finally decided to introduce anti-dumping duties (AD) on imports of coated carbon steel flat products manufactured in China, with a duty rate of 30.7-48.14% of the customs value for a period of five years.
The anti-dumping investigation was launched based on a complaint filed by Ukrainian producers Module-Ukraine and Heavy Metal in December 2020. These two companies together accounted for 50% of the domestic production of rolled steel in Ukraine.
The size of the duty varies at the level of 30.7-48.14% of the customs value, depending on the producer or trader. The lowest tariff will be applied to Shandong Hwafone New Materials – 30.76%.
