UK wire mesh prices continue to fall in March

Weak demand in the European and Asian steel markets caused a decrease in UK wire mesh prices.

UK wire mesh prices continue to fall in March

According to SteelRadar data, wire mesh prices in the UK started February trading at $616, fell to $607 by the end of February and started March trading at $585. Sources said that prices fell due to weak demand in European and Asian steel markets and that buyers' stocks were sufficient. According to the sources, companies adopted a wait-and-see approach, quoting that no improvement is foreseen in the future.

Wire mesh reached its highest level in February on February 5 and traded at $616, while its lowest level was recorded on February 28 at $605.

UK wiremesh prices started March with a decline, trading at $585 and while it is curious how wire mesh prices will progress in the future, sources stated that the decline will continue and that they do not see an improvement in wire mesh prices until there is an increase in Europe and Asia.
