Türkiye's wire rod imports decreased by 24.2% in February

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's wire rod imports in February decreased by 24.2% y/y from 37,597 tons to 28,493 tons. Compared to the previous month, January, it increased by 7.7%.

Total wire rod imports in the January-February period decreased by 17% from 71,316 tons to 59,177 tons.

In the month in question, China, Russia and Spain ranked in the top 3 in wire rod imports of Türkiye. Wire rod imports from China amounted to 15,228 tons, followed by Russia with 5,141 tons, Spain with 1,781 tons, Germany with 1,571 tons and the United Kingdom with 1 ton.
