Türkiye's wire rod imports decreased by 10.5% in March

Türkiye's wire rod imports in March 2025 decreased by 10.5% y/y while increased by 40.1% m/m.

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's wire rod imports in March decreased by 10.5% y/y from 44,607 tons to 39.908 tons. Compared to the previous month, February, it increased by 40.1%.

Total wire rod imports in the January-March period decreased by 14.5% from 115,923 tons to 99,085 tons.

In the month in question, China, Kazakhstan and South Korea ranked in the top 3 in wire rod imports of Türkiye. Wire rod imports from China amounted to 17,847 tons, followed by Kazakhstan with 9,580 tons, South Korea with 4,741 tons, Germany with 1,650 tons and the United Kingdom with 1,551 ton.
