According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s wire rod imports in July increased by 40.6% compared to the same month last year, rising from 39,459 tons to 55,466 tons. Compared to the previous month, June, imports rose by 3%.
Total wire rod imports for the January–July period increased by 33.4%, from 235,670 tons to 314,282 tons.
In that month, China, Kazakhstan, and South Korea ranked as the top three countries for Türkiye’s wire rod imports. Imports from China amounted to 39,009 tons, followed by Kazakhstan with 9,954 tons and South Korea with 1,500 tons.
