Türkiye's scrap imports decreased by 11,6% in March

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's scrap imports in March decreased by 11,6% compared to the same month of the previous year, decreasing from 1 million 830 thousand 49 tons to 1 million 662 thousand 356 tons. Compared to January, the previous month, it increased by 7,9%.

Total scrap imports in January-March period decreased by 11,6% from 5 million 296 thousand 362 tons to 4 million 679 thousand 671 tons.

In this period, the USA, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom ranked in the top 3 in Türkiye's scrap imports. Scrap imports from the USA amounted to 412.239 tons, followed by the Netherlands with 233.859 tons, the UK with 145.785 tons, Denmark with 105.908 tons and Romania with 101.311 tons.
