Türkiye's pig iron imports increased by 39.4% in March

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's pig iron imports in March increased by 39.4% y/y to 234,936 tons from 168,558 tons. It increased by 343.4% compared to the previous month, February.

Total pig iron imports in January-March period decreased by 1.4% from 453 thousand 43 tons to 446 thousand 573 tons.

Russia, Kazakhstan and Germany ranked in the top 3 in Türkiye's pig iron imports during the month in question. Pig iron imports from Russia amounted to 176,382 tons, followed by Kazakhstan with 29,952 tons and Germany with 30,084 tons.
