According to data obtained by SteelRadar, Türkiye's long product production increased by 14.8% on annual and 1.09% on monthly basis to 2,137 tonnes in August 2024. In 2024, Türkiye realised its highest long product production in August.
On an annual basis, long product production in the January-August period of 2024 increased by 3.8% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 16,166 tonnes. In the first eight months of 2023, production decreased by 11.9% compared to the previous year, 2022.
Looking at the eight-month periods, production increased by 22.8% from 14,378 tonnes in 2021 to 17,662 tonnes in 2022. In 2023, production decreased by 11.9% to 15,569 tonnes.
